Stampin' Up Scary Cute Sweet Gingerbread Halloween Card

Welcome to this month's Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop!  This month the Krew is celebrating "Halloween Fun!"  I decided to use a traditional Halloween stamp set along with a Christmas stamp set for a fun play on Hanzel & Gretel.

The card front is a panel of Basic Gray.  I placed the Basic Gray on my Stamparatus and stamped the trick or treaters from Stampin' Up Scary Cute Stamp Set using Mementos Tuxedo Black ink.  Since this stamp is a silhouette, I stamped it several times to get a good solid images.

I cut a thin layer of Basic Gray and freehand cut small hills.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped a gingerbread house on a piece of Basic White using Crumb Cake ink.  I die cut the image using Stampin' Up Gingerbread House Dies.  I stamped the scrolls using Mementos Tuxedo Black ink on the gingerbread house.  I stamped the windows using Crushed Curry ink.  The door is Gorgeous Grape ink.

I stamped gum drops, lollipops and the roof using Gorgeous Grape, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry ink.   I die cut each image.

I adhered the roof to the gingerbread house using liquid adhesive.  I adhered the house to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I adhered the gum drops and lollipop to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from Scary Cute Stamp Set with Mementos Tuxedo Black ink.  I die cut the sentiment.  I die cut a moon and bats using Scary Silhouette Dies.  I adhered the die cuts with liquid adhesive.

I die cut a piece of Gray Granite to create the pathway in front of the house.

I adhered the card front to a Gorgeous Grape mat and adhered the layers to a Pumpkin Pie card base.

The inside is a panel of Basic White card stock with the sentiment, bats and a trick or treater with Mementos Tuxedo Black ink.  I adhered the Basic White to a Gorgeous Grape mat.

Thanks so much for hopping by! Up next, Carol Buckalew

  • I love die sets.  I am always excited when I see a coordinating stamp and die set.  So I can not express how excited I was to see Stampin' Up has released new die sets to match stamp sets in the 2022-23 Annual Catalog as well as July-December 2022 Mini catalog.  These sets are available only the month of September or while supplies last so don't delay.
