Stampin' Up Nuts About Squirrels Hey There Card for Happy Inkin' Thursday Krew Blog Hop

Happy Friday Even and welcome to another week with the Inkin' Krew.  This week the Inkin' Krew were given a challenge to create a card with "critters."  I decided it would be a perfect time to ink up Stampin' Up Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set.   I have had this set for awhile and never used it.... I know what was I thinking, this set is super cute and fun to use.

The card front is a panel Soft Suede card stock with a panel of Stampin' Up Happy Forest Friends DSP adhered to it.  I adhered the card front to a Sahara Sand card base.

The squirrel image is a 2 part stamp that includes an outline then a fill in stamp.  I stamped the outline with Early Espresso ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  I stamped the squirrel image with the fill-in stamp using Soft Suede ink.

I adhered the Basic White to a piece of Soft Sued using liquid adhesive.  I wrapped a piece of Crumb Cake twine from Stampin' Up Craft Twine Essentials Pack a few times and tied a bow.  

I adhered the layers to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set using Soft Suede ink on a strip of Sahara Sand card stock.  I cut a flag into the end and adhered it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

 

The inside is a panel of Basic White with the sentiment stamped in Soft Suede.  The squirrel is stamped in Early Espresso and Soft Suede.
