Stampin' Up Merriest Moments Season's Greetings Card for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Friday Eve and welcome to another week with the Happy Inkin' Thursday Krew.  This week we were given a color challenge: Black, White and a color of our choice.  While I really wanted to use Polished Pink... I am a fan of traditional Christmas colors so I used Real Red.

Today's card features a carryover from last years August-December Mini Catalog: Merriest Moments Stamp Set.
The card front is a panel of Basic White.  I die cut a piece of Basic White and Basic Black with Stampin' Up Candy Canes Dies.  I layered the two die cuts and adhered them together on top of the Basic White card front.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Basic Black card stock with Versamark ink.  I heat embossed White embossing powder using my heating tool.  I adhered the strip to the card front with liquid adhesive.
I stamped 3 poinsettia from Stampin' Up Merriest Moments Stamp Set using Real Red ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  I die cut the flowers using Stampin' Up Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.  I layered the flowers using liquid adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals to the card front.

I adhered the card front to a Real Red card base folded in tent fashion.  I added Stampin' Up Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of each flower.
The inside is a panel of Basic White with the sentiment stamped with Mementos Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped another flower to the corner of the panel with Real Red and Black ink.  I layered the Basic White panel with a Basic Black panel.  I adhered the layers to the inside of the card base.

Thank you so much for hopping by!  I hope you have enjoyed today's card, up next is Terry Lynn.

  1. Love the layering of those background die cuts! Very creative! love the red flowers too but try polished pink—I bet it’d be pretty too! TFS Susan K. (I’m having a hard time posting comments since they changed something!)
