Stampin' Up Sweet Conversations Valentines Card

Another card today featuring new items from Stampin' Up January to June Mini Catalog.  This collection is the Sweet Talk Suite.  I used this weeks Sunday Stamper sketch for inspiration.

I started by getting all my layers together.  I dry embossed a panel of Highland Heather (all dimensions availabe at the bottom of today's post) with Stampin' Up Dotty Hearts Embossing Folder... this is available in the Annual catalog but it pairs perfectly with this suite.

I adhered a panel of Stampin' Up Sweet Talk DSP to a panel of Real Red cardstock.  This layer I adhered to a Highland Heather card base.

To create the bow, I cut the side seam off and removed the threads one by one.  I laid the threads together flat and tied a bow with them.  I wrapped the side seam around a strip of DSP and tied a knot.  I adhered the bow to the DSP with a Mini Glue Dot.
I adhered the strip of DSP to the embossed panel.  I adhered this layer to the card front.

I die cut the envelope from Stampin' Up Sweet Heart Dies with Real Red card stock.  I stamped the conversation heart from Stampin' Up Sweet Conversations Stamp Set with Highland Heather and Petal Pink ink.

I die cut the conversation heart and adhered the envelope and heart to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The inside is a panel of Basic White card stock.  The sentiment is stamped with Real Red ink.  I adhered a strip of DSP to the panel.

  2. So fun, Tarabeth! I can't wait to play with this suite - I treated myself to it, as I don't refresh my Valentine's sets very often - such great paper! I can't wait to try your trick with the ribbon, too! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

  4. Lovely new goodies! I love how you used the ribbon to create some thread for your bow, and the purple and red are just yummy together. Thank you for joining Sunday Stamps this week.
