Stampin' Up Sailing Home Anchor Card

Today's card features Stampin' Up Sailing Home Stamp Set along with an alternate use of Stampin' Up Bark Embossing Folder.  I used this weeks Card Concept and Paper Players Challenge for inspiration.

I start with  Crumb Cake card stock as my card base.  I adhered a piece of Stampin' Up Tiding of Christmas DSP to a panel of Night of Navy and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped an anchor in Night of Navy and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler... both from Stampin' Up Sailing Home Stamp Set.  I die cut each with Stampin' Up Smooth Sailing Die Set.

The next step is where the real fun began.  I wanted a water sort of image, however I did not have an embossing folder that worked until I noticed Stampin' Up Bark 3D Embossing Folder.  As we can tell by the name, it definitely looks like tree bark, however if you turn it on the side it has the appearance of  water ripples.  I took my Misty Moonlight ink pad and stamped ink all over one side of the embossing folder.  I carefully placed a panel of Basic White card stock on the folder and ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  Once I removed the card stock, I took a Stampin' Up Blending Brush and blended the ink all around leaving some white and some dark blue areas.

I die cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with Stampin' Up Sea Life Die Set.

I adhered the die cuts to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment along with an anchor and birds on a Basic White panel with Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler ink.  I layered the Basic White with a panel of Night of Navy ink and adhered it to the inside of the card.
