Today's card features a new to me technique- Blends/Vellum technique. I was super proud of the results. I decided to use it on today's card for Memorial Day.
I cut a piece of Stampin' Up Vellum. I used Dark Cherry Cobbler and Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blends. I scribbled color in a random fashion all over the vellum. I then used 91% Alcohol to water brush over each patch letting the color run. I used my Stampin' Up Heat Tool to help the alcohol dry. I adhered a panel of Basic White behind it to make the colors pop.
I die cut some stars from Stampin' Up Stitched Star Die Set from Real Read and Night of Navy card stock. I adhered them to the front of the card with liquid glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.
I layered the card front to a panel of Real Red that I adhered to a Night of Navy card base.
I found the sentiment from SU Inspired Thoughts to be great for a hero that has served our country. I stamped it in Night of Navy ink. I adhered 3 of the stars to finish the inside off.Supplies:
