Stampin' Up Perfectly Plaid Merry Christmas Card

Todays card was inspired by Global Design Project #255 (Theme: Tree/Leaves).  I used Stampin' Up Perfectly Plaid stamp set and the coordinating Stampin' Up Pine Tree Punch.  I paired the stamp set with Stampin' Up Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper.

I used a Cherry Cobbler card base scored in half.  I adhered a Basic Black card stock strip to a strip of Plaid Tiding DSP.  I adhered the combination to the card base.

I stamp two trees from Stampin' Up Perfectly Plaid on Whisper White with Shaded Spruce and Old Olive. I punched each tree out with Stampin' Up Pine Tree punch.  I die cut a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock with a circle from Stampin' Up Stitched Shapes.  I adhered each tree to the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I adhered the circle to the left side of the card.

I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White. I punched the sentiment out with Stampin' Up Timeless Label Punch.  I slipped the punched sentiment under the trees.

I colored a piece of Stampin' Up Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon with a Stampin' Up Shaded Spruce Blend Marker.  I tied a bow and adhered it below the trees.  I finished off the card with some Stampin' Up Gilded Gems and Stampin' Up Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I finished the card on the inside with a panel of Whisper White.  I stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink.  I added another tree to the inside with Shaded Spruce.

  1. Hi Tarabeth,
I am new to Stampinup and excited to start on my Christmas Cards!
I was wondering if there is a basic video or steps to help me get started on making my cards. I have some items to get me going and need just a little guidance. My aunt sent me a pack of stuff to practice on and now I'm hooked lol. Your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. Michelle V.
